St. Stephen's has been both life-giving and given through its local, regional, and global outreach.  Central to these endeavors is the St. Stephen's Stewardship Commission.  Utilizing a "through the church to the world" guiding philosophy and spirit, this group meets monthly immediately before the Vestry meeting to consider how we may best utilize the various gifts that are entrusted to us.  Funds for St. Stephen's outreach programs come from the church budget, love offerings, and fundraising events.

Current Stewardship Commission members are:  Jackie Crittenden, Angela Emerson, Robert Ethier, Jr., Jennifer Lindenberger, Don Neal, Ken Shermer, and Vernon Speight.

Stewardship Statement

We believe we are all members of God's household and that we have a duty to ensure that every member, individually, feels a part of that household. We also believe that God, the creator of all we are and Giver of all we have, expects us to be diligent custodians of this household. We are called, therefore, to give back to the Lord a portion of the gifts we have received, and to use some of our time, talents and resources to ensure the welfare of God's family and God's creation.

Fully recognizing that we can never adequately repay the generosity and forgiveness we have received from God, we continue to commit ourselves to proportional giving, giving as substantial a proportion of our time talent and resources as we honestly and cheerfully can. And we invite the members of our parish family to join us in this endeavor, giving serious consideration to the needs of this family and expressing thanksgiving for God's blessings by similarly pledging a portion of your time, talent and resources.

Finally, as representative leaders of this parish, we commit ourselves corporately to be faithful stewards of all that is committed to our charge. We pledge our continued concern and care for the buildings, the finances, and the human resources of this parish, thereby honoring God and helping to ensure the future wellbeing of St. Stephen's. And we pray God's help in leading us further along this way.
